along with a performance of "Toe
Pain Blues" - the song he wrote and performed
at the Highlands House Concerts Series
On the new CD, Dwight
has written several songs on a rare Hawaiian Weissenborn
guitar. This instrument was made in the 1920's and is
played by laying the guitar on your lap and sliding a steel
bar across the strings. This guitar was recently
resurrected by artists such as Ben Harper, David
Lindley and Bob Brozman. Dwight adds his own unique
blend of soul, blues, jazz and bluegrass with the instrument
to support his songwriting stories of travels through the
heart, mind and soul.
