On
a break from recording in the studio, I took a trip to
Florida to visit my friends Thomas and Kristy. This
also included a drive down to Savannah, Georgia where Thomas
took the photo above...

Playing
the Cherry Creek Arts Festival - we had our pre-release copies of

The
Colorado Dragon Boat Festival
|
|
|
I
was honored to participate in the opening ceremonies of the Colorado
Dragon Boat Festival. I met a lot of new friends
and was happy to see that Denver has such a great cultural
event that brought an incredible draw of people from the
community.
A
special thanks goes out to Erin
Yoshimura for accommodating the band and for letting me
join her on the Denver Channel 9 News to promote the event.
I
actually traveled to New York the following week for their
Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival...

|

Look
like the RockyGrass Festival? This was actually a few
miles away in Boulder at a summer BBQ at Ross
Martin's house.
|

I
got together and played a couple shows with my good friends
Micah and Shawn of Zebra
Junction.
|
|

I
had several opportunities to play with Doug Yoshimura's Cheapsuits
blues band.

A
last minute songwriters jam at home include Claudia and
Larry from Fort Collins who I had met at the RiverJamm.
Thanks for the Tommy Emmanuel DVD Larry! Jim
Edfors also joined us for the circle.

Junction Goodbye & Reunion Shows
|
|
Guitarist
and lead singer, Scott Saunders, decided to move to Florida
and after 7 years of playing the Falling Rock Tap House,
Scott fans flocked for a goodbye concert.
Fans
did get a reunion show later that year when Scott flew in
for the Great American Beer Festival. Doug joined the
band and played bass for a great concert.

Somewhere
in between the jams and travels I did finish and release the
new CD Soul's Engines.
The CD release party is still being planned. Until
then... Have a wonderful holiday season!

The
Denver Broncos & the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders select
Dwight's Soul's Engines CD as one of their top holiday gifts
this season!
Okay,
maybe not... I met the cheerleaders while
performing at a United Way fundraiser.
