Well, I thought it would be a good idea to get away in a cabin outside of Rocky Mountain National Park for New Years.  Last year I spent it at Yellowstone and had a wonderful time and wrote a new song.

However, this time I never even got into the park or did any writing.  I spent the holiday laying on a couch with a 103 degree fever looking out the window at the elk.

Franck from Brussels and Cameron from Toronto returned to Denver once again.  We took a trip up the hill to Blackhawk for a little gambling.  I lost.

It's been a return to the stage with Dysfunction Junction.  We have 3 gigs in January at the Falling Rock Tap House.  Franck came to my show while he was visiting in November.  This time Cameron caught the show.

Chris and Matt came out to the show, as well as Doug, another slide player I had met last week - he made his own slide - the best damn slide I've ever played with.  He's making me another just like his.
