Portraits as Art. That’s how I approach my portraiture – creating
an artistic moment of the individual or group, be it musician, mother
& child, maternity, family, father, son...
I have been shooting digitally for several years now and love the
freedom of expression it allows. I consider Photoshop a valuable tool to
help create the final image. My client base ranges from musicians to
corporations to designers to families & individuals desiring an artful
approach to portraiture. Portraits as Art. It’s what I do.

Barry Sharp, Photographer - Lakewood, Colorado
I grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa on the banks of the Mississippi River,
watching the passing of trains, riverboats, and barges, which instilled the
wanderlust at an early age. I have traveled extensively to 49 of the 50
United States, ironically leaving Delaware our first state as the last to
cross off my list. International travel includes Canada, Mexico, and many
parts of Western Europe. I have always been amazed at the great diversity of
the United States and this has been my inspiration to attempt to capture it
through my photography. I shoot primarily landscape and portrait
photography, but have extensive experience in shooting live performances and
enjoy the challenges associated with utilizing available lighting. In
addition to photography, I have developed a matting and framing business
which still gives me a thrill to start with an idea, capture the image, then
mat and frame it to a finished product. My photography is 100% digital
utilizing the Nikon D100.
